This is a very comprehensive guide for anyone interested in the fascinating world of practicing bonsai, but starting out as a beginner. The drawings that illustrate different bonsai styles are well-done and attractive, but could be improved by adding accompanying photographs. On the other hand, the photographs on the "how to" bonsai techniques are wonderful and better than those available in many other sources I've seen. Given the price and it's availability when you're working outdoors on a tree, I give this eBook a very high recommendation to any bonsai beginner.
Although the info in this book is quite good and will set you on the right path as a beginning Bonsai carer/ grower, it does leave you wanting for more. It gives you the very bare boned basics, but after finishing it I had more questions than when I started reading it. But if one knows absolutely nothing about Bonsai care, this is a good place to start.
Great book for beginners and as a refresher for more advanced bonsai students. The pictures and descriptions are very helpful and easy to understand.
A great new bonsai book! The author provides all the information a bonsai beginner needs for understanding what bonsai is about and for being able to care for and style his first trees. Good photos and clear explanations make reading a joy. Older books often contain out-dated instructions, this one is up-to-date!

The book is well written with good illustrations. Almost nothing beats actual hands on, but the novice can take away much valuable information and start a lifelong hobby with this book. Worth reading and keeping for a lifetime in your Bonsai library!

Extreme beginners book. I was expecting way more. Theres some nice pics but overall a poorly written (broken english translation) and cheap book. Ended up ordering the Bonsai Encyclopedia. Would not recommend
