I am looking for to more of this series. Vikings and the challenges of the new world, what more could you want.
These tales had a very authentic feel to them. Characters felt like real people with real twists and turns in their lives. Life is complicater, life is messy, and life allows for repentance and the ability to make ammends. I really enjoyed these stories and look forward to more of them.
s!! This epic historical fantasy folows the sags of several families as they try to build a permanent settlement for their families and followers in new lands. This is an amazing series! These characters are so deep and some are so complicated, and I felt like I knew them all personally. These books have it all; action, braery, growing up, tension, mystery, love, loss, treachery. The full gamut of human experience.
Great story line, what a great idea I look forward to reading the developing story has lots of promise, it was fast moving with a number of characters, which did not take away from the flow, highly recommended reading
I was interested in the Viking history in Canada and the US a century before Columbus "discovered" America. There is an inordinate amount of violence in the book between each vale they settled in.
Very good read, can't wait for more books in the series.Considering my great grandfather still believed in the old gods when he immigrated from Norway
This is an interesting alternative history with dimensional characters and a great plot. I wonder if there is another book in the works since the last one in the sequence begs for a sequel.
