I saw this in a book store as a kid when this was originally printed and while sitting, reading and enjoying theses macabre stories and visuals I was stymied by one thing by being a wee little horror fan with no.....dinero, pesos, scratch, or moolah. Moms wasn't buying this after being asked and giving me her well worn phrase that still haunts me to this day "no more money." Fair enough, can't really buy a Creepshow comic when your eating the government cheese.Years later, I found out it was being reissued and I ordered it as fast as I could hit the purchase button, take that Mom! Now I have money! Got it and have perused it several times since enjoying the late Bernie Wrightson's ghastly illustrations. I like that they still didn't change the sequences to the order that was eventually edited in the film. Kudos to whoever had this reissued all these years later.Much respect to all that have left us since this book was first published, Leslie Neilsen, E.G. Marshall, Fritz Weaver, and Ted Danson's hair.

The original printings were all on a nice glossy coated paper. This new edition is printed on a low quality absorbent matte paper and the colors are all dim and dull. Also Brillanti books screwed up my order AGAIN sending a mangled copy then refused to refund my payment even after I sent it back at their request. Had to file a claim, this is the third and last time that crummy seller sends a damaged item to me. Items were received damaged 3/4 times.I just noticed they changed their name to SANDY BOOKS STORE so look out.

I think I must have told everyone in May (and now I am doing it again) that I was beyond the moon to discover this classic anthology of campy horror stories being re-released. I immediately pre-ordered my copy and scrambled to the door like a child on Christmas when it arrived. Within minutes, I was molded into the couch with wine, popcorn and my new shiny edition. The end result was a blissful Saturday evening, BVT style.A lover of all things King and horror (they do coincide after all), Creepshow fully delivers. This small graphic depiction of the original screenplay packs a nice punch of campy nostalgia in a truly unique manner that it not to be mistaken for your run-of-the-mill GN. While the 5 original tales are slightly condensed, hosted by a ghoulish narrator, there is no shortage of fun to be found. My favorite remains The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill. Fans of the film and horror alike, will find enough value within this to make it a must have.

4.5 Stars.Checkout the cool cover art horror lovers! This creepy graphic comic book is based on the 1982 horror anthology and cult classic film Night of the Living Dead....and gives us.....five wonderfully dark & sinister stories.Just a few words about each.....don't want to spoil your creepy fun.No. 1: FATHER'S DAY (5 Stars) ~~~ Happen to like decorated birthday cakes to celebrate this special day? I'd pass on this one. hehehe....or should I say...clakclakclak.No. 2: THE LONESOME DEATH OF JORDY VERRILL (4 Stars) ~~~ Something very creepy and very green from out of the sky here. DO. NOT. TOUCH!No. 3: THE CRATE (5 Stars) ~~~ Ok, you can go down the basement, just stay away from the box....unless, of course, your name is WILMAAAA!No. 4: SOMETHING TO TIDE YOU OVER (5 Stars) ~~~ Yikes! Cruel and unusual punishment...you bet...but be wary....or you just might end up at the beach! No. 5: THEY'RE CREEPING UP ON YOU (4 Stars) ~~~ Yep! Bugs....lots of bugs...and an old bugger too.....Ewww....they CAN hide anywhere.OMGOSH, I love THE CREEP narrator AND the super creepy graphics AND the final words of No. 5...."Casablechha" AND of course...Stephen King! How fun! Great collection! Creep.Creep..Creepy...P.S. (Looking forward to the movie.....just hope I can stomach No. 5!)

Great comic book adaption of the Stephen King original movie the first Creepshow. The movie was directed by George Romero and in my opinion the breakout movie that showcased and made Stephen King popular w the masses. It is a faithful adaption and the comic version very reminiscent of the EC comics in the fifties. Really good adaption of a good movie in my opinion. Great for adults and teens. Might be a bit graphic for young children as the comic and movie are a bit graphic and the movie has an R rating.

Very Cool. Exactly like the movie "CreepShow." Even most of the characters look like the actors from the movie. This is THE comic book with the exact stories from the movie. This will definitely be a collectors item some day. And it reminds me of the scary DC comics I read as a kid. And, of course, it's by STEPHEN KING. Need I say more? ("And tell it to just call you Billie.")

I read this as a kid and loved it! Was looking for this comic forever and finally found this. It is just as creepy and disturbing as I remembered. Great quality and vibrant colors.

I am a huge fan of the pulp horror magazines it was inspired by. Plus both the movie and it's sequel. It's currently sitting in a display case with other horror memorabilia. Also it would make a great gift for a young Stephen King fan.
